Admission Policy

Pre-Elementary

The school sets the requirements for pre-elementary applicants.

They must:

  • submit Birth and Baptismal Certificates
  • pass the SJASQ Entrance Examination
  • be at least 4-5 years old for Kindergarten 1 and 5-6 years old for Kindergarten 2
  • be in good health
  • Applicants who belong to another religion will be accepted after an in­terview with the parents and only if he/she is willing to sign a separate waiver containing the rules to be followed while inside the SJASQ campus.

 Elementary

The following should be observed for admis­sion and enrollment:

  • All enrollees should present Form 138 (Report Card).
  • A transferee should:

1. see the principal with his/her parents

2. pass the Entrance Examination

3. submit Birth and Baptismal Certificates

4. Present a certification of good moral character or recommendation of the former principal.

  • An applicant for Grade One should:

1. be 6 to 7 years old

2. be in good health

3. present Birth and Baptismal Certificates

4. pass the Entrance Examination

  •  Applicants who belong to another religion will be accepted after an in­terview with the parents and only if he/she is willing to sign a separate waiver containing the rules to be followed while inside the SJASQ campus.

Junior High School

  •   Entering Freshmen

1.   Elementary Graduates of SJASQ

In order to be accepted in Grade Seven, each applicant should abide by the following enrollment procedures:

a. Submission of Form 138 (Report Card)

b. Applicants with a general average of 80% and above and with at least satis­factory conduct grades are automatically accepted. Acceptance of those with           low general average will be dealt with on a case to case basis.

c. Grade 6 National Achievement Test (NAT) result

d. NSO Birth Certificate

2. Elementary Graduates of Other Schools       

Elementary graduates of other schools are given the opportunity to enroll if the following requirements are met/submitted:

a. A copy of the latest Form 138 (Re­port Card)

b. Letter of Recommendation or Certification of Good Moral Character from the applicant’s school head/principal.

c. Birth and Baptismal Certificates

d. Satisfactory grade in conduct or its equivalent

e. Applicants must pass the Qualify­ing Entrance Test.

f. Applicants must pass the interview to be conducted by JHS principal if required.

g.  Applicants who belong to another religion will be accepted after an in­terview with the parents and only if he/she is willing to sign a separate waiver containing the rules to be followed while inside the SJASQ campus.

  • Old Students

Old Students who still desire to pursue their high school education in SJASQ should comply with the following:

a. Submission of Form 138 (Report Card)

b. No failing grade in any subject

c. Satisfactory grade in conduct or its equivalent.

d. Credentials of students who had taken summer class/es.

  •  Transferees

Applicants who come from other schools are given the opportunity to enroll in SJASQ provided they submit and meet the following requirements:

a. A copy of the latest Form 138 (Report Card)

b. Letter of Recommendation or Certification of Good Moral Character from the applicant’s school head/ principal.

c. Birth and Baptismal Certificates

d. Satisfactory grade in conduct or its equivalent

e. No failing grade/no back subject

f. Applicants must pass the Quali­fying Entrance Examination.

g. Applicants must pass the inter­view to be conducted by the HS Principal

h. Applicants who belong to an­other religion will be accepted if the requirements    are complied with and he/she is willing to sign a separate waiver containing the rules to be followed while inside the SJASQ campus.

i. If the applicant is an ESC grantee, s/he must submit a Certification from the previous school regarding the ESC grant received by her/him

j. For Grade Ten transferees – Form 137 and other credentials must be submitted not later than January of the school year.
